We will start at the bottom of the deck stairs... There we have planted a really neat Japanese Maple that we rescued from being tossed into a dumpster..
A few photos of my shade garden...
And if you turn around from looking to the right, and look back to the left and down a bit, this is our large Mountain Oak with Sum and Substance planted all around... It gets a big of early morning sun. Now, if we could just get rid of the Poison Oak... but that is our project when we return from our vacation...
Hope you enjoyed my little tour of our shade garden....
Blessings,
Carolyn
Gardennuttz, you RESCUED the Jap. Maple??? What a great find!
Yep, we sure did rescue it.... the poor little thing was all bent and twisted and wilted... not having been watered..... And I wanted one that would lean away from the wall a bit, so it was exactly what i wanted... I asked the guy in attendance, and he said go ahead take it.... maybe you can make it grow right... No Charge... It was in a pile headed for the dumpster... along with a bunch of dead plants... That little maple has rewarded me for adopting it by growing really beautifully.... I really love it... I touch it each time I pass it.... and speak to it too... Nuttz huh.... well that's what me name is... lol
Blessings,
Carolyn
Carolyn, you have a beautiful garden and a Japanese Maple that is to die for. It sure is rewarding you for saving it. Dotti
What a beautiful garden and kudos to you for rescuing the Japanese Maple. It is beautiful.
Carolyn, you have beautiful shade gardens. What a great idea with those raised beds going up the stairs! Puts a smile on your face everytime you walk them, doesn't it? And that is a lovely Japanese Maple. Good for you for asking!
