Stock Question??

(Zone 7a)

Sorry all..I know this isn't the right forum..But I must know!! Somebody Help

I have some beautiful white Stock. The flowers are huge and smell great. My friend told me they are perennials. He never seems to know the botanical name of anything...LOL. But it's OK he grows great perennials. But he has them in the perennial greenhouses. I thought all stock are annuals? I'll see if I can get a picture. He also says my canterbury bells are perrennials. Does he know what he's talking about??????
I'm stumped

I think Stock is an Annual, not sure about Canterbury Bells..but, off the top of my head, I believe that, is a Bi-annua.l

I thought I found my stock...Oh well. I thought it could be Matthiola fruticulosa. But the pictures on the net aren't the same.
