CLOSED: Canterbury Bells Question?
That is the way I understand it. Sorry - guess you could box them all up and mail them here to live out their last days in warmth.... Mitch
LOL LOL! Mitch
I looked in the pant files and the database I use online - both say Canterbury Bells are a biannual. All stock they had could be tender per. but grown a annual.
OH Boy! I guess time will tell...LOL
sorry :-( I try not to grow bis for that reason you and fall in love and then poof they are gone.
dear kim,
it's the same as the foxgloves (which i mentioned in your foxglove thread : )
mine reseed so profusely it's all about weeding them the following year. yearly blooms are NOT a problem, believe me!!! you may want to deadhead most of the seedpods to save yourself time weeding later.
Thanks everyone!
Kim, I bought a huge cut bunch of mixed blue & pink canterbury bells at the local farmer's market last year. They last a long time in a vase, and I also fell in love with them!
Now that they have opened, the kids keep asking if they can pick them :-/
