CLOSED: I am looking for a creeping charlie

Lilesville, NC(Zone 7b)

I am looking for a Creeping Charlie or i would love to have a Variegated Creeping Charlie or maybe alittle of both. The only think i can offer right now is postage for it. So if anyone out here has any little guys or gals they would be willing to spare i would surely apprieciate it so much.

Thanks,

Char :o)

YOU WANT CREEPING CHARLIE? I would be absolutely delighted to send you some! Lmk, Doris

Doris, I would love it if you could send me some. i had a beautiful one and I was moving it and dropped it and it died, it about broke my heart. So you sending me some will be delightful. Can I ask if it is the verigated one or the regular green one...but I will love anyone you can send me.

Thanks Again,

Char :o)

You really want creeping charlie? Keep and eye on it.

Mount Prospect, IL(Zone 5a)

It s not variegated. Are you sure this is what you want, or could it be something with a different name? Creeping Charlie is a weed that will take over your lawn, flower beds, everything and its next to impossible to eradicate. This is a small plant, scalloped edges on leaves and purple flowers and it spreads terribly. When you mentioned you had one and it died, Charlie does NOT die. I've pulled up clups and dozens of them, tossing them in a pile. 2 weeks later, they were happily carrying on with their growing. If you still want them, I will send you some, before I start spraying again to get rid of them!

I have both variegated and regular creeping charlie if anyone wants!

Doris, yeah i am sure it is a creeping charlie. I have included a picture of the one i had when I dropped it. It never recovered from that :o(, I even looked in plant files here on DG and found the varigated one..never knew there was such one. Thanks for offering to send me some :o)

Weegy, yes i would love it if you could send me some of the variegated one....and maybe some of the regular one. I have looked all over my area and can not find one...the frangrance it gives is just so nice to me. Thanks Again

Pickens, SC(Zone 7a)

Oh honey...I am so glad someone likes this stuff. Dont let it get loose. I have almost an acre of it.

Lilesville, NC(Zone 7b)

OH WOW, I never knew charlie plants to be like you guys are talking. My grew up with them, my mother loved them as well, but I never knew that they would grow wild like that. I just cant wait to get mine. And when i seen the varigated one i was like in shock cause they have a one like that. I am to excited now. Will be waiting for the postman come next week sometime.

Look CLOSELY at her photo, folks. It is NOT what you think creeping charlie is,so be clear on what you're sending her. I gasped when she asked for creeping charlie too! LOL! I beleive what she wants(at least whats in the dumped pot) is "plectranthus",or swedish ivy...NOT "Glechoma hederacea" our invansive weed

ok Princess, I'll send them off to you. Are you in the address exchange? I'm going to trim both of them and I'll send you whatever you want.

After studying the picture, that is not the creeping charlie I am battling. Mine has purple flowers up and down its stems. I don't think you want what I have. I think Weegy may have what you are looking for as I do not believe my creeping charlie comes varigated at all.

I used to have creeping charlie too. With a yard like mine, it was a neat thing to have.

They are neat plants, I have mine in pots on the patio. They get cute little flowers.
