I'm looking for some Agastache rupestris seed, my plants from last year didn't make it through the winter and I miss the fragrance and flowers!
Looking for: Agastache rupestris
Hmmm..this is very unusual in your zone, I have a few fresh seeds left or a small plant out in my field. Let me know.
Thanks! I'm emailing you.
Probabbly I 'll have seeds end of it this summer.
I will too! These babies flower fast! Thanks though.
Any tips on germinating these seeds? I sowed some when I started my other salvias, no luck, so then they went into the fridge for 3 weeks (still in the cell pack), and now they've been back under the lights in the basement (probably 65 to 70 degrees) for a couple of weeks.... nothing yet.
They should germinate easy at 20C (68ºF)...

Hmmm. Thanks, Saya. I guess it was just a case of random bad luck, then. No matter, I have other agastaches that did germinate (A. foeniculum 'Honey Bee Blue' and 'Honey Bee White', and A. cana 'Heather Queen'), so that will take away the sting! :-)
I steriled my soil before sowing. That way I could put the pot in a freezer bag after I sowed the seed. Then I supplied light, from windows, and I think every one germinated.
Thanks, Micha. That's about what I did, except that mine spent about 3 weeks on the light shelf before I decided they might need to be cold stratified. Maybe I'll put them back in the fridge for a couple more weeks....
I didn't give mine any cold treatment. Maybe your seed was really old?
Nope. It's a mystery. Seeds from this batch germinated fine at indoor temperature for 2 other folks, but not for me. Oh, well!
If you come to the RU, I'd love an extra seedling if you have one! :-)
When is the RU, by the way? I can't find the info as to when, where, etc.
2nd Mid-Atlantic RU, June 24-26, at Haighr's cabin (40 minutes west of Hagarstown)

I think I just might be able to come! I'll have to check with a friend, and we'll probably come together.
I need to bookmark this link!
Bump, I really hope some one has some!
