oh, and if you have any more of that gorgeous purple columbine i saw, add that to my wishlist...check on cymbidiums for your zone too b/c mine never did well indoors (too dry and warm)--they love it outside here which is how i manage to keep them alive.

heather, yes, please send me a trade list : ) would love some lotus too! mine only sprouted after I scarified them--which involved a blood sacrifice i might add.

on the cymbidiums, i was highlighting the foxglove to copy and inadvertently got the cymbidiums too. I didn't mean to include those in what I would like to have. Only the cannas and foxglove. I have bookoodles of the columbine.

TT, I'd love any of the following, if possible:

white watsonia
flax lily (Dianella tasmanica)
iris--mixed
canturbury bells
naked ladies

Now, to figure out what I have that you might like in trade! African violets (have plantlets of several, leaves of most other, please see my thread on the AV forum), Black-eyed susans, 'Kentucky Colonel' spearmint, peppermint, catnip, magenta rose campion (small seedlings). Oh, you mentioned fruiting plants, so how about a couple of 'Italian Alpine' strawberries? (They are good in the garden or in containers and bear tiny, intensely flavored berries -- like strawberry candy.) I also have small, wintersown seedlings that I could ship when they're a bit larger of 'Yellow Wonder Alpine' and 'Alexandria' alpine strawberries. I'm trying to propagate some scented geraniums ('Attar of Roses' & 'Chocolate Peppermint') and herbs (various thymes, 'Hot & Spicy' greek oregano), but I have nothing definite there at the moment. I should have purple mullein and purple verbascum seedlings to offer, but those were also wintersowed & are still tiny at present, as are some 'Bowles Black' viola seedlings. LMK if I've piqued your interest yet with any of these!

Mount Prospect, IL(Zone 5a)

I would love a few of your naked ladies for postage if you've any left. Thank you so much, Doris

Soquel, CA(Zone 9a)

critter, i like the purple mullein and purple verbascum

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

OK! They're very tiny at the moment -- just getting their second pair of true leaves -- so I'm guessing they might ship better once they're a little bigger. I also have some verbascum that I think should be white with a purple eye (at least that's what the person who sent the seeds told me). I can probably also find some seeds you might like... I think I still have magenta gladiolus seeds that I got as a bonus in a trade (I don't have a good place to plant glads where I can lift them in fall). I also have a few extra seeds for purple crepe myrtle and purple beautyberry (still trying to work out how to germinate those). Oh! You'll be amused by this; I was about to offer to share some purple canterbury bell seeds with you, and then I realized you were the one who had sent me the generous packet of them!

Would you be interested in a seedling or two of Amaranthus lividus? (taller plant with gorgeous burgundy stems & foliage; I have seeds for this too) I also have a tall burgundy-leaved perennial that gets little yellow flowers (I need to try to ID this one), grows well in part shade, and spreads readily so I have plenty to dig & share.

I'll DG email you when the seedlings are ready to send. I don't know if you want to hold a couple of things for me until then or just have me owe you my part of the trade, so LMK what works for you. If some disaster were to befall the flat of verbascum, I'm sure I could find something else you'd like or some way to even things up if you'd already sent stuff, but I don't really know the protocol here. (I'm new to DG & even newer to trading plants!)

Box Springs, GA

Soquel, CA(Zone 9a)

hi chelsea--please email me

Soquel, CA(Zone 9a)

critter and others--i apologize for the delay, had to go out of town for a few days...
today i began gathering packing and shipping. tomorrow i hope to complete all unfinished trades and then repost which what-all is left : )

for anybody who has requested naked ladies: the postage has to be flat rate box for 7.70. i can stuff a LOT in there but it is getting pretty pricey for me, even for trades, which i'm used to doing for the usual 3.85...so if you fall into this category please let me know how you feel about chipping in a bit extra for the shipping in a PM.

thanks everyone!
tatyana

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I'd be happy to chip in for shipping.... I'm pretty sure your box will go for $3.85 when it's ready, maybe a dollar more if you want a bunch of those tall burgandy NOIDs (pretty, but they do spread). I figure it's always fair to ask to have postage evened up on a trade, one way or another. Shall I enclose the difference in my box to you, or would you like me to ante up ahead of time since my seedlings may not be big enough to travel for a while?

Oh, and feel free to trim my list of course... especially if I can't interest you in more than those little purple mullein and purple verbascum seedlings. For example, I'm sure I'll be able to start some canterbury bells from seed eventually (wintersowing wasn't successful for reasons unknown), so maybe somebody else can use them.

No rush on shipping mine, but PLMK when they're on their way so I can watch for them. We don't have a regular mail carrier anymore, and I can't seem to train them all to please bring plants to the door..... if it can be crammed in the mailbox, in it goes, regardless of labeling. If you want to hold a couple of things for me & wait on a report that my seedlings are still thriving and have become sturdy enough to send, that would be fine. I don't know if you've successfully sent smaller seedlings.... I'm willing to try, if you want, but I've only sent fairly sturdy stuff thus far.

Thanks so much!
