Look what four dollars will buy you!

I couldn't pass this up because it had blooms. I'm guessing it's Maya?

Too bad I couldn't stop there. This is what I have left to plant. I planted at least half this amount the last couple of days. I think I need a 12 step program for buying annuals. I LOVE them and just can't stop. I'm always on a quest to have some cool pots for the summer.

Nice looking haul there!!! And your Maya looks like a great buy for $4.00. I know what you mean about buying annuals! Oh my....I just love all the color! And I'm starting to think I'm a better plant buyer than I am a planter! LOL My yard looks like a mess.

Looks like you found a great deal. That's a nice size plant for $4.00.

Where are you getting those for 4 dollars? Would love to find that place!

Great find!

I am annual nuts too Kristi. My lastest thrill is putting the new abutilons in the center of a pot and then color coordinating the color with coleus. LOL. I have made tons.

What is that pink plant in the upper right corner?

Your brug reminds me of my B. suaveolens variegata a bit. The leaves look a little puckered. You will be able to tell when she blooms for you. Do you have that one to compare?

This is mine, less variegated than usual..

Kristi, here is an example of 2 plants I am combining in a pot.

Kell is the flower a vine or does it just need to be staked? I wanna see finished pics..wahhh

The leaves also reminded me of my B. suaveolens variegata (ugly white flowers), but your buds are too long and pointed - I think definitely not suav. buds which are chunkier and have a more blunt tip. Could very well be Maya! Nice find!

I have two large Maya's but I just couldn't pass this up just in case it wasn't maya. Then I'll complain that I have no more room to plant. The nursery had lots of other brugs but none of them were named.
Your plants will look lovely in the pot kell. I was addicted to abutilons a couple years back but got tired of wintering them over. I still have a few. You'll have to take a picture when it's mature.
I love coleus too and I'm always looking for new varieties.

I am so lucky here that they will live outside all winter. Have you seen the new mini ones? I do not know how long they have been out. Tracey is the one that got me started on them. This mini has bight yellow flowers and bright red sepals. I planted Arizona coleus under it. The abutilon has not grown yet to fill the pot. When it does, I think it will be just too cute.

WOW - buds and all! very good buy!

Question on something though - when someone says "B. Creamsickle, or B other" what does that mean? I just went through an old email to see when I received my Creamsickles and noticed they said "B".

B = Brugmansia ??

Kell those are georgous. I have fallen in love with abutilons too. Where have they been all this time I just found them recently. I was told they are hardy in my area so we'll see this winter. Also that you can start them from cuttings, so I think I will treat them like my burgs and plant them in the ground and make a few cutings just in case. (like the way I got brugs into this post to make it legal for this forum?)

These mini ones are so colorful and just so cute. I need them all. And the hummers love them also. I have so many hummers this year already! .

They should do great in your zone I would think Buns. I have a tree in the back that must be 20 years old that is in the ground. She is almost always in bloom. Here she is in Nov. 04. I was not taking it of it bu tof the arborea, but you can see what kind it is.
