One of my new fish--the big one--insists in living in the skimmer basket. I've rescued him/her 7 times already today. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions? I've thought of putting a piece of hardward cloth over the opening, but that pretty much defeats the purpose of the skimmer, doesn't it? I'm thinking a barrier of some sort will be necessary.

If there are no sharp edges where he goes in, he's probably fine. Silly fish, when he learns that food enters the pond somewhere else, he'll likely change his habits.
LOL, I did think of that. Eventually, he'll discover that food is OUTSIDE of the skimmer basket. I hope ;-)
