Well, I didn't fall off, Chewie didn't get hurt, and stayed fantastically calm for his first show. Here's a capture of us in a walk/trot class. There are many things wrong with me, and a few with him - my knees aren't bent enough, his headset in this shot is one of the few times it was close to good (most of the classes, his head was up, waay too far). I wasn't breathing enough, so he would tense up in response. We've got a lot to learn, but I'm satisfied that we weren't injured, we handled congestion in the arena on the order of 20+ horses in each class, and he stayed calm through all of it.
