"Animal Storm Stories: Hurricane Charley
Hurricanes not only displace families from their homes, but animals as well. In the aftermath of Hurricane Charley the directors of the Suncoast Humane society spring into action taking in animals who have become homeless as result of the storm."

My DGD did injured and lost horse rescue after Hurricane Andrew in Miami. They transported them to Tropical Race Track, patched them up as much as possible and sent them up to West Palm Beach where a very generous lady donated her barns and pastures. She has Polo horses that had to share their space with very bedraggled refugees. *smile*
