Bunchberry, Creeping Dogwood, Dwarf Cornel, Crackerberry, Pudding Berry (Cornus
Mmm... pudding berry, sounds delicious. How old are your seedlings?
This is the second year for them Micha.
How old do they have to be until they can produce flowers and berries?
Hello again :)
I expect to see blooms later this month or into June. I did find this website that has some wonderful pictures: http://ontarioshrubs.com/main/b/bunchberry/ It says the name is misleading......the berries are rather bland and have a really large seed that is hard to seperate from the fruit. I also discovered it's threatened and/or endangered in many States.

I wonder why they're referred to them with that name.
Make sure to post pics of blooms, fruit, etc!
Night,
Michelle
These little fellows grow all around here, as well. I don't seem to have them on my property, so I've tried moving some in from the roadside without success. They seem to like the less fertile areas here... even under the spruce trees.
Thanks for the heads-up Weezi Ü......I'll plant it under the Ponderosa Pine then in the back yard.
