My wife and I are both disabled vets. We work in our garden only for a few minutes at a time. Lay down for a few and repeat the process. I have one cover all that I use to waller in the garden with. When I garden I garden all over. Container gardening is a reat way to grow our flowers and vegies. Just a few windows for light and a few pots for plants.
I have a garden with 12 twenty foot rows. It took me 7 months to make and 2 months to plant.
I do some of it sitting on my rump or laying down. Like I said where there is a will there is a way.
Good luck to you all..
Where there is a will, there's a way
Bizy, I'm so glad you have joined us here in this forum. Most of us can relate to you in some way. Some have physical problems, some have cardiac or repiratory problems that limit our activities, but we all live with limitations. I admire the spunk and deterimation of those who work on in spite of disabilities.
Bizy,
Hi and welcome to DG. It sounds like you are gardening as best you can and I hope that your garden will out produce itself for you. Gardening is a wonderful diversion for what ails us isn't it? I am sure you are happy that you can still garden even though it isn't for the hours and hours that others can do. Keep on keeping on and I will "see" you around DG.

Welcome to DG, Bizy! You sound like my hubby (Howie here at DG) in his gardening method. A broken back and subsequent back surgery have left him with some limitations, but he does his weeding and planting while lying down and does great. I have problems with my wrists and knees, so getting up and down in the garden is hard for me. My husband and I compliment each other out in the yard -- he does the low stuff and I stay on my feet and do the higher stuff most of the time!
Great teamwork, gardenwife! I like my tractorseat, but there are times when nothing helps me get to the plants better than just sitting on the ground. Getting up and down is hard, especially since I have problems with balance. I fall sometimes, but have learned to "roll' with it and not tense up, so I don't even bruise.
Bizy, so glad you and your DW are determined to garden. You consider that your patience is rewarded, I'm sure.
Bizy, Welcome to DG! I'm glad to see determination wherever it shows up!
