I have about a dozen reblooming irises in the garden for the first time. Planted them in the fall, and all have multiplied, and have huge, healthy straps out. Only two have bloomed! Are the others just not GOING to, are they reluctant in the first year? May they yet bloom?
Any thoughts?

Iris blooming?
Mine are at the half in half stage. Some have finished some are just coming out and others haven't done anything yet. I think it varies with the variety as to exactly when they bloom.

I have one from last year, still in a pot, that is exhibiting the same behavior. I also have a new one, also in a pot that is yet to bloom. Both have apparently healthy leaves in abundance. Like you, I wait and wait. The new ones are "guaranteed" to bloom. So, I guess patience is the word for the day.
You know, I think several of mine are "guaranteed" to! Maybe that'll get them going.......I'll remind them! lol
Patience, huh? I have such a hard time with that one......
