Plants going to Ga!

Commerce, GA(Zone 8a)

I have been potting up plants & taking cuttings of the ones that are too big to move. This is Isabella, ready to go.
I would like to show you all some more pictures of my yard before we move on the 27th.

Gorgeous Brug Ally Melba :-)

Bag them little girls ^ , they are gonna be happy wherever you go...they look so healthy. Where in GA are you moving to? I'm in Harlem, just outside of Augusta, GA.

Is that a Confederate Rose in the last pic (#4)?? Is so pretty :-)

Hugs

Wow, you are in for a fairly good difference in climate, aren't you. What a fun thing to do. You are moving north and I want to move south. Not quite as far south as you are right now, though. LOL! Great pictures. I always enjoy seeing your flowers.

One more, this is the house we bought in Commerce, Ga. We have 1 & 1/2 acres .Lots more room for gardening! Looks kinda Blah right now, but I will be making some floral additions! LOL!

Julie, yes that is a confederate rose. I can't wait each day to see the next bloom! Wish they lasted longer! Melba

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

You are going to have so much fun adding color to the yard of your new place and to think you will have 1 1/2 acres to play in. I have no doubt that it will not be blah come next summer when everything you plant starts blooming. In no time at all you will having it looking as pretty as the place you have now. The colder weather will be something new for you to deal with in determining what to put in the ground, but I have no doubt you probably have that figured out.

Brugaddict, There isn't too much distance between Commerce & Augusta. What are miles between plant addicts? Lol! Hope I get to meet some of you when I get moved. Melba

Deltona, FL(Zone 9a)

Now that you will be in GA, maybe you will get to one of the plant swaps...than we can meet. That is a very pretty house you are leaving....How can you leave that desert rose??? I know you will have the new place pretty as a picture in no time.. have a safe and stress free move.

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

You home is beautiful but you will be safer in GA!!!

Good Luck on your move.

cinn, I wish I could take the desert rose, but the buyers definately wanted it to stay! I'm going to try a cutting.
Judy, I have only lived in Fl for the last 3 years. born & raised NE. Ga gal! This past year with the hurricanes was enough for me! I'll really be glad to get back home! LOL!

Oh Melba, your new home is beautiful and I can see lots of wonderful places you can put all your lovely flowers you bring with you too!

Miles is the only thing that separates us. I just went through Commerce on Tuesday, you're going to love it. All those little towns in there are beautiful. Went all the way up there with my moma and sister to eat at the The Blue Willow Inne. It's located in Social Circle, GA. which will be 30 or so miles or less from where you'll be :-)

Such quaint little towns through there, and they have alot of antique shops too. My passion is antiquing and angel trumpets...well I guess photography too...I love that too.

I'm so glad you're coming to GA. It's not as humid as where you are now but it gets hot...and dry. Like today...grass is dying here, if we don't get any rain, it's going to die! It did rain up your way in Commerce though. Ohhhhhhhhhhh and the big Outlets are in that town too! Lots of great deals there, we used to go up to Commerce to shop for Christmas. Lucky you!

Hugs & let us know when you make that move!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Great pictures, Melba. You're going to love doing your new yard.

Commerce, GA(Zone 8a)

Thanks to all! I really am excited about the move. Not only because of the added garden space, but also because I will be back close to my Mom & family. At least though, I do have some azaleas already growing in the front yard. Now to add some Peonys, lilacs, & etc. Can't wait! Will probably be off DG from the 27th till 2nd week in June in order to get DSL there. Be back soon! Hugs to all my DG friends! Melba

Commerce, GA(Zone 8a)

Thanks Donna, I wish I could just ZAP my whole yard to the new place, but most of my plants here would require a greenhouse up there in the winter. I already have plans for a greenhouse, but DH says it will have to be after he builds his garage & shop. We'll see! LOL!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

Figures that a garage and shop is more important than a greenhouse....lol. I think you better straighten him out!
:) Donna
