Tim, her husband called me when Donna got out of surgery and is doing great. They only had to fuse one of her disks. So she is minus a bit of hip bone, has 6 screws and a metal rod in her spine and is probably higher than a kite right now. I'll be going over to relieve Tim not this weekend but next. She is going to be miserable having to wear a body cast type contraption for 6 months... guess no gardening or birding for her. If you'd like to send a card snail or e-mail let me know and I'll give you her addresses.

Donna is home.. talked with Tim last night... she was zonked out on the couch.. She might be up to getting on the internet for a bit today... we'll see.

Thanks for all the cards and prayers. Hopefully the pain will be gone soon. The only time I don't hurt is when I am standing. DH said he would build me a stall so I could sleep standing up like the horses do ROFL!!!!!!!!! Meds don't do much for the pain but make me feel strange and I don't like that.
Good to hear up are at least up, if not up and at 'em, as they say. So sorry you had to go through this. He also needs to build you a higher puter stand! I'm sure he will take good care of you tho. Glad the worst is over for you.
