I just love that picture. Since you posted it, every time I go into this forum & see it, I just have to smile. That is priceless. He has that twinkle in his eye that I remember seeing in my sons eye when he was a boy.

he is so wonderful...and very interested in horticulture...yesterday, when the passie bloomed, i don't know which one of us was more excited!
he asked me the other day what kind of animal a daffodil was, and i laughed and we got on Plantfiles and looked up daffodils. he learned about bulbs, and now knows to call them 'narcissus' and can identify between single and double varieties........and he really enjoyed it.
he actually gardens and waters with me alot, and he picks up nomenclature quickly.....he made a comment about my mina lobata seedlings the other day and it struck me just how funny it is to hear the words 'mina lobata' in regards to a plant come out of a five year olds mouth :)

Awesome pics and congrats of your first blooms!
I hate it when they mis label plants, they're WAY off on that 1. It's a Passiflora Caerulea aka Hardy Blue Passion flower. You'll enjoy that 1 as it's easy to grow and blooms all summer long.

Your boy is a sweetheart. And lucky you! My boy never had an interest, even now. I would have loved to share my love with him. We used to make surprise pots to give his teachers. We would fill them with bulbs and top them with annuals. I had a lot of fun doing them, he hated it. LOL

I'm looking for niki who has failed to simply acknowledge receipt of a brug I sent her. She is not responding to private email either which is where she approached me with the cutting request. I didn't even ask for postage.
