Now that I've moved almost everything out of my new GH (feel like a mom sending her kiddies off to school for the first time)... I am dreaming of what to start this fall. What recommendations do all you experienced GH growers have for winter vegetable growing... toms, cucs, etc. I would like specific names and seed source (if you know it) that you know will do well in a GH. My GH is not huge, BTW.
Thanks!
Barb
Winter Growing
Barb, I hope someone else comes along and answers this for you, but my greenhouse was new last fall, we thought of all kinds of veggies in the greenhouse, nothing did well, we have 6 to 8 8 foot florescent lights in there too, I guess not enough light for tomatoes, they were so leggy I ended up throwing them out. and nothing else grew for me as well. go figure, flowers grow during the winter in the greenhouse, why can't I get veggies to grow LOL
I finally ordered Territorial Seed Companies' TM914 Greenhouse 761 Hybrid Tomatoes. They even included very specific and lengthy instructions and suggestions for improving success. We'll see...
Would still like suggestions, particularly shorter-vined varieties of cucs, etc. to try...
