Weather GRRRRRRR
Here, Here!!
We hit 80 Monday then Tue at daybreak wild electrical storms with copious rain followed by the 20-30mph NE winds. Now more storms through the rest of the week and we'll be 60's / 40's but with the north wind, the windchill sure puts a damper on things.
I second everything you just wrote about. Our weather looks pretty good tonights temp 60 and then Fri. and Sat. down to 52 still much better then yours. I sure hope the weather man misses it for you and doesn't get before 50. At lease we can live with that.
Edit to say that Monday it got to 91 here then in the high 80's Tues. and Wed. Yes we are having the wind also. I'm so tried of the wind, it tears up everything.

The weather is crazy here too. Yesterday it was 78 degrees and as I sit writing this it is 38 degrees outside and I have the furnace on.
Tonight we have a freeze warning and the temps are supposed to be in the 20's. :(
Had 70-80s all week. Rained very little last night, temps 50/40 for next couple days. Poor brugs don't know whether to go into dormant mode or what. I NEED to see blooms. Do have one hibiscus bloom to brighten my day...........sigh. Come on Mother Nature, get your act together!
same weather inIndiana, even got some hail, weather has gone crazy.
Maybe some of this wind we are having will blow our warm temps to you Kristi.
Did you see the reports of 5" rain and grapefruit sized hail out in Nebraska yesterday?
We had hail here last week. We are sunny now thank goodness.
We are in a rainy period right now. Lots of it too. Three inch hail in some places in Iowa. Not her, luckily. As I type this, it is 48 degrees. That's pretty cool for day time in May. The low tonight is to be 56. That might be hard to reach. LOL!
Any one that got hail how did all your brugs do, or did you get them under cover in time. That is what scares me is I'm in the process of planting Brugs out today in the ground and have got to go fine enough buckets so if we get some hail I will be able to cover them up. Because we haven't gotten into the rainy season yet and I know that when we do we always get hail.
we had hail the day before now its as hot as all get out agian.
my poor seedlings and flowers are like huh??? i dont know one day from the next to bundle up or wear shorts and a tank top.
i am in deep south here and the weather is wacky.!!
my 3 brugs were brought in before it got to us. quarter size hail.
Hail!!!! Ekkkkkkk. That would send me over the edge. My perennials would not bounce back from that. The brugs I think are getting use to the wacky weather so they should be okay. They just don't seem to be putting much new growth. I guess it's just too cold. I was so hoping to get a jump on the season this year.
Susie I hope the wind pushes some of that weather my way too.
Our forecast for the next 10 days is rain, thunderstorms and maybe 70 degrees if we are good. *lol*
Lows still will hit the upper 40s in that time. Enough already! C'mon summer. I wish I lived in the desert.............
My husband came home early from work today(3:00) to help me cover everything with hail screen. He said we were suppose to get some really bad weather. Got everything covered moved and ready for the weather. Then we went in and the weather man said it looked like everything was going NE of Wichita. We live SE. But a couple of hours latter they are saying we could get some nasty weather coming up from Oklahoma. I am ready for it now. My DH is out on the lawn mower now mowing. Go figure this weather out.
I made 5 hanging baskets today, planted 10 Brugs in the ground, and transplanted a new container full of hen-n-chicks. Went around and watered everything good. Then I had to go and move everything and cover things with buckets and flower pots. I would like to get some slow soaking rain but the hail can stay away.
Marie, you got hail???? Whoa, that's aweful! My aunt that lives there in Jackson didn't get nothing but what bypassed us lol....well it's not funny cos' I've been looking for rain everyday cos' they keep predicting it...geesh! I hate to hear everyone getting that cold stuff again. Maybe Mother Nature will start acting right soon. It got up to 88 for a high today...probably with the humidity here it was higher.
Rooty, I'm so glad you're ok up there in KS...that pic you posted made me think of some of the storms we had in OK. They were some dosies too. The pic looked really scary.
Thanks BA,they are coming through all night,so I will see in the AM.
Okay storm folks. Check in. How did everyone fair last night? I've been keeping my fingers crossed that everything went okay and the storm was a miss.
Dry as a bone here last night :-(
Today is cloudy but they say it will storm...a woppin' 30%...High's 85, lows 60. If we are in with the isolated showers that is, and that's tonight.
Hey I know what you mean about the weather
It was 84 day before yesterday, yesterdays high was 40 degrees lower
and it was 28 this morning.......
No rain here either.. but hoping I have time to run out and weed before the benefit from Wed Night's storm disappear
No damage, but still raining,so looks like I will be painting the sunroom today,I hate painting.
BrugAddict I think we are just tossing our weather back and forth why don't we just kick it sideways and let it go someplace else.
Doris
I'm with ya Doris! If you get rain before me please do think of me and kick it sideways my way K?? lol It's so dry here!
Hugs
Julie
Root I'm glad you don't have any damage. CC your climate is a rough one! When will it be safe for you to bring your plants outside? Julie I hope you get some rain. I had the sprinkler man out here yesterday to turn our system on. We have 100% sand and everything dries out so quickly.
Definitely crazy weather this year.......I have had my share also but must say that I have enjoyed the cooler spring. CC, you definitely have very cold weather, I cannot imagine 28 degrees this morning. We rarely have that during our winters here.
We have had only one or two good rains this spring, we need rain. The wind is terrible, worse than usual and our spring has been cool(well cool for here, lol, but not below 50*)
No complaints for ours right now - so I'd better find some wood to knock on. However, last year our weather was real nice - and then as soon as May came along it got really icky - kind of the same story some of you are dealing with.
its blazing here. right now its about 88
the town of jackson didnt get hail but i live between jackson and beech island and we did. our wacky weather. here it can be raining on one side of the road and nada on the other side.
We were real lucky. We got rain last night the good kind, the slow soaking kind and it has been doing it off an on all day. Getting a lot of thunder which always sounds neat.
We had hail day before yesterday and storms yesterday. Today it's cloudy and Blah.
