Would anyone have a couple of cuttings of a variegated brug?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I do realize everyone has extras in the fall, but I am hoping someone is doing some shaping. I tend to cut off branches all summer long. :) I am not particular about the variety. The one I had didn't make it through the winter. If anyone can help me out, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks!!!!

I'll be happy to help, I'll go trim a few right now and stick them in water, as soon as I see a bump or a root I'll send to you.

Wow Buns! Those are beautiful. I love that window too.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Michelle, it looks like you have some great looking cuttings headed your way soon.

Buns......I really your stained glass bunny.

Laurens, SC(Zone 8a)

If you have any left I'd be interested. I have several Brugs--but nothing even close to big enough to do cuttings or to flowering. They are cuttings from this past Fall and it JUST got warm enough here for them to start really growing. LMK!! Thanks!! Bonnie

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Aren't they pretty Frannie?!! I can't wait to see them!

I will be cutting and rooting some named brugs myself here in the next couple of days. I will post them when I do. I am rooting green cuttings and will not send them unrooted. :)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Hey Buns, I checked and you do not have trade lists set up. What can I send you in exchange for the brugs? Email me with your interests please. I am sure I can find something for you. :)

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

those are really pretty and the window too. i just love the varigated ones but so hard to find.

Deltona, FL(Zone 9a)

What ver. are these??

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

I have Sunset, Maya, Peaches N Cream, and one called Variegated White. My sunset and maya aren't big enough to share but the other two are. So these will be Peaches N Cream and Varigated White rooting. Wish I had a Snowbank. BTW, what other variegated varieties are out there?

And thanks BrugNanny, the Stain glassed Bunnies were awards for a National Holland Lop Rabbit Show in Moline, Illinois. I didn't win so I got the address that made them and bought some. I love them too, thanks. That is my kitchen window, and you can barely see out right now because of the hummingbird plant. I need to trim it.

If you are interested, there is a thread called Explain Your Name that I put some photos of rabbit/cavy shows on. Scroll all the way down. It is a fun thread.

Ok, I am a failure.....None of those beautiful cuttings made it. They all withered away.

BUT...I am determined........

After I made the cuttings I almost lost my mother plants. After some treatments with Bayer's systemic they are all coming back. I also planted some of them in the ground and they seem happier. BUT I almost lost them all. I'm glad I didn't just snip and send because there must have been an underlying problem and I wouldn't want to share that with you.

I'll give it another try down the road and see if I can get you some.

badseed ------ > mail!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh too bad Susan. I rarely have good luck rooting in water. They rot on me. I much prefer sticking them right in dirt. Glad you didn't lose your Momma plants!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Hi chele do you still need cuttings? I have Maya I can send you. Just let me know.

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

I never have trouble rooting my brug cuttings but peaches and cream has always been a challenge for me. The stems seem to like to remain right where they are...with mama

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

I've never had problems rooting directly in soil but this time I was going to give the water and bubbles a try after reading all of the forums, sigh........

Going to stick some in dirt now, good old mother earth dirt.....

Don't sweat it Buns, it happens. :) The pressure is off so maybe they will root better another time. LOL I hope your mama plants straighten up and get healthy.

Welcome to DG, Michael!

Those are some funny looking brugs. :)

Need some tartar sauce?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Chele.

WOW Michael, those are some big fish. WELCOME to Dave's and the Brug Forum. We need a few more guys, the few we have must feel so outnumbered.

If no one has any cuttings now, I bet some will turn up next month when people start cutting theirs back for winter. Which brugs do you currently grow?

Clinton, CT(Zone 6b)

Hi, Michael - I have a Maya - that has thrown a little varigated sport I can cut and try to root for you. It is about 5-6" tall now. Email me your address and I will send it to you. I will try rooting it by the "bubbler" method and that should take less than a week to sprout roots.

Hi Folks!!
Thanks for the welcome ;)

Badseed,
The fish are long gone heh... BBQed and Blackened.. yummy!!

Kell,
I currently grow, Frosty Pink, Equador Pink, B.Insignus, Roseamond, Charles Grimaldi, Milk N Honey, Jesse Noel, , Valley Peach, Isabella, Double Enchanted White, Candida Double white, she gets constipated in the heat lol!! 3 seedlings, 1 of which blooms wonderfully white with long tendrils, mild and sweet scent, ill post a pic of her, I named her 'Toby' I think thats all of them hmmm... Im focusing on the less fragrant as I have severe asthma and the Frosty Pink and B.Insugnus could easily kill me, but oooooh what a way to go... ;)
Like being smothered by a beautiful woman hugging me lol!
I have had B.Insignus for a long time maybe 8 or 9 years.
The rest of my wonderful collection came to me from a wonderful Lady named Toby who moved from Phialdelphia to Kentucky, she posted that her babies needed a home and I am only 45 minutes from her old residence. I e-mailed her my phone # she called in less than 1 hour and I was there the next morning. ;) The collection is truly wonderful and she is such a sweet lady,
I am truly blessed to have recieved such an awesome gift!

I love trading and have increased my plumie collection about 1000% by doing so.
I am a major fan of all things variegated and am blown away by the variegated brugs.
They are just absolutely stunnning!! Slow growers too I hear?
Many of my nieghbors comment on my jungle and someone has actually helped themselves to cuttings on my Candida double white, I was infuriated!!
I made a huge sign saying please dont steal what I would so freely give you. If you see something you like please knock and then I can cut it and the plant wont be misshapen or damaged. Im also getting a security camera. Only God will save the culprit if I get them on film heh... :P

KRNYSGIRL thank you so much!!
That is a very generous offer and I say YES!! YES!! YES!!
I shall e-mail ya soon!
Thank you so much!!
:Lemme know what catches your eye on my list ;)

Heres a pic of the white seedling 'Toby"
