Every since you said that, when I see this plant I get a craving.

RYLAFF.... STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT ...... LOL

You post such great pics in lots of forums.... and it just makes my plant list longer and my to-do list longer ..... and my credit card bill larger --- I was just checking out your bog and pond posts.....

I'm never going to be able to catch up with you ......... maybe I need to eat more Cheetos

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

SSSHhhhhhh.....dont tell the teenagers in the neighborhood what it is. They will take all the blooms.

OK Lisa, I'm a failure at rooting these. I know I'm doing something wrong. I've tried old growth, new growth, soil, vermiculite and water. How do people root these things?

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

I just cut off about four or five inches, strip the leaves off the bottom, leave some leaves on top, dip em in rooting hormone, stick em in a pot of potting soil, put the pot on my back patio on the concrete, and wait. That area of the patio stays in shade almost the whole day. It is also by a leaky faucet, so the concrete stay warm and wet. I can root just about anything there.

I'll hold rylaff down Calalily and you can dig up the plants......... LOL ...... We'll be in and out of the yard in 60 seconds....... and then we'll both get one of these plants that rylaff is always tempting us with ........ : - )

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

VS, do you know if she has a big dog? Do you actually think we could get in and out in 60 seconds? Have you seen her plants? We would get side tracked looking at stuff, she probably has a pet gator, we would be trying to get out of her jungle and get lost........no one would ever see us again!
Lisa, thanks, I'll try that. I have a nice, moist, shady spot at the side of the house behind a big scheffelera and I think I'll try rooting things there.

Osage City, KS(Zone 5b)

Calalily, yeah we might get side tracked - hadn't thought of that ...... the dog and the gator I think we could handle to get some of rylaff's plants...... she has such good ones......
