Brug Brag

New Port Richey, FL(Zone 9a)

We purchased this Brug in Lowes about 5/6 years ago. The first winter it died down to the ground. We moved the stump to the south side of the house and it took off. This pix was taken in 2003 - so it has grown quite a bit since then. Next time it blooms I will take a pix.

I have taken shoots off this tree and one is approx 8' tall, but has not bloomed yet. [Yes it has "Y'd", but just recently.]

This year I purchased more varieties of brug -- we will see what happens! [Do you think the "Brug Bug" has bitten me? -- LOL]

I would say it sure likes Titusville. That is so tall! I bet it is so beautiful as it shimmers at night.

Smitten, bitten and hooked most likely! How could you resist with a fine specimen like that.

Lovely brug and photo...I do love white flowers!! Beautiful!!

Pretty. You have a great tree there. I'm starting to enjoy a white brug here and there in my yard now. For some time, I had more whites than anything and I got tired of them. Moved on to colors only and now I do like a little white. Bet it smells nice.

Actually this brug has no odor at all - rather disappointing. This was my first brug and the cause of my present addition!!

BTW - I changed my nick from Pavone to Zingy -- Somehow I messed up when I joined - Now I feel more "like me".

I can only wish the Lowe's out here in Los Angeles would sell brugmansias. The selection of plants is very limited.

Pretty .... bet it smells really good when it is blooming.
