CLOSED: Wanted: Wisteria Tree or Bush

Doswell, VA(Zone 7a)

I am looking for a Wisteria Tree or Bush, Wisteria sinensis . Here is a description:

Quoting:
One of the most beautiful trees! Imagine a cascade of glorious purple-blue flowers throughout May, with more each year as your Wisteria thickens and produces more blossoms. Very hardy and easy to grow. You can trim them to 6-8' to make a pretty lawn separator. Plant in full sun. Spring shipment only. Zones 4-9.

I would love to get a cutting off of one or a small bush. I am willing to trade just about anything for this. Please let me know if you have any. Thank you.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I had good luck last year layering them. I will get some started now. Let me know if you do not get a better offer. I cannot say for sure what kind mine is but I will post pics of the leaves and flowers later. Mine have different seeds then people are most familiar with and are very easy to grow from seed. Waiting for blooms is another story. :)

I have some I started from seed 2 years ago. I know they won't bloom for a long time, but they are very healthy and you are welcome to one.

I have a ton of wisteria, that I would love to multiply for myself and for others. However, I've never done this, can you tell how to get started? I would send some just in exchange for the education.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I rooted my first ones on accident. LOL If you just take a branch and lay it in a trench of dirt and cover it up, it will root.

Box Springs, GA

I would love to trade,I can send you some cuttings if you're still looking. Please let me know:)

Thanks,Chelsea

My first one took 6 years to bloom. I had it in part sun I think thats why it never bloomed for me. I have two Wisteria that are about four years old and are climbing now. I am willing to part with one of them. Let me know if you are interested.
I don't think that there hard to root. It just depends if your willing to wait for years. The one I have would probably bloom in a year or two.

Crystal--we are in the middle of a trade for seeds. if you want i can switch to a box and add a wisteria.
I've been told they take 12 years to bloom from seed (am sowing a chinese everbearing one now but will prob'ly buy a bloomer out of impatience before I am old). Have also been told cuttings don't root well but the layering thing bad seed mentioned is the best way to go to get a quick bloom. mine also self-rooted and I have a couple left for an interesting trade...LMK
