Ingrid ..so is this Nikko Blue hardy for your climate ?....Farmerpickle is it that hardy ?..because I always have admired them greatly.

Eglantyne- it's for my zone..I'am in 5 really but always go to a 4 zone.

Hydrangea macropyhlla Nikko Blue - Perennial Plants

Handsome foliage on boldly branched, mounded form. Deciduous. Desired for its numerous, showy, lavender-blue, mop-head flowers. Early to midsummer bloom, July to August, starting with flowers that are cream, with blue margins, then turning a solid blue mass as the plant matures. Color is bluest if planted in acid soil, otherwise the flowers tend to be pink. Prefers full sun to partial shade in moist, humus rich, well-drained soil. Fast growing. Superb shrub for accent, specimen or border use.

Try underplanting with Acorus as a groundcover, for a stunning effect!

4-6' tall x 4-6' wide

Ships in 3 inch pot
Zone 5-9
