We didn't recognize it at first either, until we lightly tapped it and it opened it wings. We were mesmerized after that!!

They love clitoria vines for food and the vines grow fast enough that they don't hurt them. Don't touch the cats, they sting and it hurts(ask me how I know, lol)
That is a beautiful moth.
