Here is a few pictures I took on the tour this last weekend.
This is a stunning aeonium (Swartzkoph, I think), that was in a mediterrean style garden.
Garden Tour in Victoria
Heather, they are wonderful, I bet it was a great tour.
Glad you are posting more pictures ;)
somebody from the coast adopt me PLEASE!!! :)
Phenomenal photos, Heather. I particularly like the aeonium and the lily. All of the flowers are beautiful. Lokks like it was a great tour; the kind that makes your mouth water and your scissor finger itchy, if you know what I mean! Thanks for sharing.
This year most of the gardens were great - some years there are a few that are not so good or not my cup of tea. But I find them very inspirational and always pick up a few new ideas. I couldn't do the "this wee bit just fell off" routine as my DH was tagging along ! LOL.
I know what tour you went on!.......Victoria Conservatory of Music Tour.......it's held on both Sat. and Sunday...one year, I am going to go on this one! E
Thanks for sharing, Heather. How pretty. I believe your flowering shrub is a Calycanthus floridus, Carolina allspice or common sweetshrub. Very unusual blossoms. Our friend in Deep Cove here, Delphia, who is a gardener extaraordinaire has one.
Beautiful photios Heatherbelle-thanks for sharing with us.
You are right-R/U seems like such a long time ago.
If any of you are ever planning to visit Vancouver, especially North Vancouver, we could arrange a mini tour. Sunrize and Roselaine have beautiful gardens. Sunrize has a spectacular setting. Our friend Delphia (mentioned above)has the most beautiful, diverisified and interesting garden I have ever seen. Mine alas is pretty humble and probably not worth touring but you never know.
Liz also has a spectacular garden I understand.
Heather it might be worth a ferry ride over here sometime!
Sol.
If I was close enough for a ferry ride, Lana, I'd be there in a minute. Maybe some time in the future, you never know. Thanks for the invitation. :)
Thanks for the info on the shrub, Dawn. Your friend Delphia sounds like she has a wonderful garden.
Thanks for the invite, Lana, maybe one day we will descend on North Van for a garden tour ! And humble or not, I love looking at gardens.
Heather
Great pictures Heather. Thanks for sharing your garden tour. That aeonium is amazing. I've never heard of it before.
