I have been calling this one Ruthie since last year. It is huge one. This is 14 inches, and the coralla is so strong and thick. This was my favorite seedling of 2004. It roots easily and is a strong grower. Lets hope it is a deep pink like it was last summer. Then I will let it keep that name.
I have such high hopes
it is a Very Special looking brug
i must say
I hope it does well for you.........especially because of the name. That what my father called my mother being sweet on her.........because her name was actually Maude.............JUST KIDDING....
her name was Ruth...
Hap
I'm excited Kell!!! Did you ever post a pic of it last year? I'm in need of seeing some deep pink.
nice such big pods.. good luck..
It's surely healthy, such a wonderful dark green, and dark pink would be perfect!!
well how come we haven't seen a pic of her before!!!!!!! You been hiding this baby??? LOL
It looks great Kell, very large bloom,I hope it is dark, even if it isn't,sounds like it has some good traits.
Can't wait until it gets opened so we can see the color.
we are waiting like expectant parents -
That's a big girl! Staying tuned for the grand entrance.
that is going to be a large bloom kell, look forward to seing it open, and look at the LONG tendrils
We had a bad storm over night. I haven't dared look yet. I am a chicken.
Hope it's ok, please post follow-up photos.
We had a storm early this am and when I went out, I found some precious, teeny, tiny buds, they were so healthy and fuzzy and on the ground. Oh, well.
I should have taken a photo but I only looked at it thru the window. I am still trying to finish planting my coleus bed out front. They are still on. They are open and a light pink. Nothing to pant over. I can't wait till summer in the heat to see how dark they get.
It looks great, Kell. The size alone is very impressive. Well, you know me.... they are all beautiful but pinks will always hold a special place in my heart. Soooo, I'm rooting for a big, strong, dark pink!!!!
Well Kell....here it is going on day #3. What happened???? What happened??? Did it get darker? I just gotta know!
LOL Brinda. I took some pics yesterday but the sun was out (for the first time in days) and was glaring and ruined them. Then I was going to take some last night and I forgot! LOL. I came home late after work. I stopped at 2 Lowes buying roses. It was hard work.
I planted most of my Brugs out yesterday, and the temps are in the 80s but now they say we will get bad storms this evening, grrrrr
Comon kell ............. show all !!!!
It looks like Ruthie is special and a tough girlie too!!!! Congrats!!!
GORGEOUS kell !!!
lovely Kell
Wow, that is one beautiful brug. I just love it.
Gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing "Ruthie" with us, my SIL is Ruthie LOL, if she had internet, I would make her look at this one!
Pretty Kell and the fact that is strong is definitely a plus. Did you post pictures of the blooms last summer when it was darker? I have no idea where to look because I don't recall you calling a brug Ruthie last year.
That is just what I expected her to look like! She is beautiful!!! I'm curious.....how did you come up with the name Ruthie?
Beautiful, Kell.
Brinda, I have my own idea on that. I'll just wait and see if I'm right.
Such a lovely shade of pink! Very nice!!
another beautiful plant kell.
The storm didn't seem to hurt any of my brugs last night, and we had some hail, supposed to rain most of the day.
I was going to put my plants out yesterday but the storm put me off.. Glad i didn't since I am sure they would have been blown to Pennsylvania! I do need to get them out soon though..sigh
That is gorgeous Kell. AGAIN!

Thanks all. Gee Laura, your weather is just terrible. Our winter lasted longer than usual too. But at least here the brugs can live out there in it.
Actually Frannie, I had totally forgotten I had called her Ruthie or actually I think I had just not even thought about it until I found some pods marked X Ruthie. You will remember her.
LOL!!
