Id: I bought this palm about 3 or 4 years ago as a 5 gal labeled Archontophoenix cunninghamiana. Now that it has been growing for a while im not sure it is a cunninghamiana. I think it might be another species of king or maybe its just growing funny. Does anyone know?
Grasshoppers: Having a little trouble with grasshoppers. They've eaten a lot of the above palm, a little from my king palms and the new spear of my Livistona chinensis and some of my majesty palm. Its not like an infestation or anything, I'm just looking for some ways to get rid of them that are safe for dogs and palms. Is just looking for and killing them my best bet?
Thankyou

BWDave,Welcome to Daves,I don't think you can post multi pics here,I may be wrong,I don't have an answer for you,I wish I did.
I just wanted to comment on how nice your palms are,I'm very jealous here!
Root.
Doesn't look like the king palms we had in San Diego. The midrib on this one is too yellow. :-)
Well, looks like a King to me... there is always some variation in palms and this one looks a tad on the stunted side, which is why it may look different... getting a lot of sun (sometimes grow a bit odd if too much sun at an early age)
Thanks for the help.
Trying to figure out multiple pic thing... pardon if this message comes out wierd...I'll use random small pictures :)
Couldn't get it to work...tried all the tricks up my sleeve...maybe there's another way...??? Anyway, here's a funny little picture anyway...right up the alley of my sense of humor...sorry if I offend anyone!
