anybody have variegated tomato seed for trade?
Do you have one in particular you are looking for? I have lots of stripeds, and I'd be happy to share! Just give me an idea of what you are looking for!
thanks sequee. Flowerjunkie had a variegated tomato plant with green/white leaves at her plant sale last weekend. She was told tomatoes would also be variegated but one plant had fruit and it looked evenly green. I'm looking mostly for the novelty of the foliage. I didn't buy 'cause it was more than my budget would allow. I've heard these are heard to germinate is that so?

Sounds pretty! I've never grown one with variegated foliage! I did grow a few different striped ones, though, with only limited success. Carolyn says they are much fussier to grow.
I'd be happy to send you a few seeds each of Green Zebra, Hawaiian Pineapple, Pixie Striped (Dwarf), *Big Rainbow, *Striped German, and **Tangella/Tigerela.
* These 2 may not be true - they were the seeds Pete@ got that appear to have been a little mixed up.
**These are pot luck - I accientally mixed my maters when I was drinking wine and saving seds at the same time - LOL! I had a mat with a "T" marked on it, then couldn't remember if it was the Tangelas or the Tigerellas I'd saved. OOps!
