Robbie,
I have never heard of growing daffodills from seed.
I would love to try this. How do you grow them then? Please let me know the scoop on growing these.
Do you want SASE for these? I don't have much to trade right now. Am new with this yard and hope to have seeds and more plants in the coming year.
Let me know.
Thanks for sharing with others.

Robbie,
DD and I would love to try to grow some daffodils from seeds too. We are having so much fun learning! Bubble SASE on way, if it's okay. Thanks so much for sharing!! ~ Suzi :)

ok here is what I found out on google about it.
You top sow them just like any small seed but it will take any where from 1 to 5 yrs for it to flower, but you will have the leaf's.
I didn't know that,... this is the first time I have had daff's so I saved some seed just in case someone might want to try a few to see what would happen.
I am going to try it as a little experiment this year just to see how long it takes and what all happens.
I have too much time on my hands don't I?LOL
so do you want to try some ?

well when the flower fades it will get fat at the base you will see a differance some will some wont i had a lot to make seed and some looked like they were but the seed never formed.
I let it get fat as it wanted to and just before my hubby mowed them down i went out and poped all the little seed pods off.
The daff is a bantam a large cuped daff.
I have some doubles that are wow they are ice king but they didnt set seed they are so tight i dont think a bug could get in.

RH, that's a great pic of the flower and seeds! I hope you will consider submitting it for the PlantFiles.

Good luck and have fun with your experiment! I wish I had the room to try them out, too, but I'll just satisfy myself this time in looking forward to seeing your collective results. :)
