Daphne's for raised beds

North East England, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

This is daphne retusa - it was tiny when I bought it but it has rather overtaken a few of the plants in this raised bed. I'm planning on replanting the whole thing this summer. The scent of these flowers is wonderful and the beauty of them being raised up is that they are nearer to your nose!

This one is daphne tangutica and it is even bigger - this one will have to go into the border. I have a few other daphne's in the garden. I love them.

My D. retusa is just starting to show some colour....it's a lovely species. I just received three new Daphnes for the rockery...D. arbuscula, D. Lawrence Crocker and D. X eschmanii...I guess it will be a few yars before they bloom. D. mezereum (pink and white) are in peak bloom here now.

Lovely and a lot of flowers for the size of the plant.
