HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
To all my lovely lady friends whose fingernails have life giving soil crammed under them and grass stains all over your shoes etc.. Your loved as much now as you are on your cleanest, most non-gardening days;)
I'm assuming many of you sweet ladies are much like my lovely wife whom isn't feeling beautiful right now due to the before mentioned gardening battle scars. BUT you are beautiful today and every other day no matter what your wearing, where you wear it and even if it's wearing you! Lord knows I love my dirty lil wife. (And I mean dirty as in the gritty black stuff she puts our plants in!)
There is nothing I love more than seeing a smiling lady who is not afraid to get in the dirt to make our world even more beautiful than you have made it by merely being present.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY LADIES!
This is your day so please go enjoy it!

Off I go to double up on my honey-do's to make this day the best I can.
Question ladies...Do the dozen plus flats of seedling and cutting flowers count or do I need to go buy a bouquet that will just wilt away on the table while she keeps on keeping on planting all the other flowers? She won't be inside long enough to enjoy them at all IMO plus I got her the monstrosity of a swimming pool she wanted last weekend...Will a card and a home cooked meal do it for the day? I think so but asking you to be certain just incase;)
Thanks all, JD

JLD, omgoodness, Now that was romantic, I got chills when I read it....I even had to quote that last paragraph you said to my son, and told him how sweet and romantic that was.

You said:

JLD - Since you did buy her the swimming pool, and the flats, and you're making the dinner and a card why not buy her some cut flowers. Put them on the table with the dinner you made and then bring them to the den or living room and then to the bedroom so her last thoughts of the day will be of her loving and generous husband.

P. S. You might want to clean the bathrooms, do the laundry, change the sheets, wash the windows, clean the floors and polish the mirrors. Bet you'll get a really nice kiss goodnight.

JLD...you are a wonderful romantic...you put tears in my eyes...between your words and your gifts!
Be sure to show your post to your DW, too!
You made my day too!

Good gosh pirl...I may aswell pull a couple teeth whie I'm at it! LOL I'm good but not that good! LOL I already have a huge honey do list going. I can do the cut flowers though and am on my way to get them. I'll have to make the child do the other chores. I was just informed my mom is coming too with the rest of the family. I have some serious running to do now. PHEW! I won't bore you with the list details but it's more technical stuff than the cleaning round the house and stuff only I can do. Besides, when I try to clean like that, I make more messes trying to do that from my wheelchair. You should see the sheets make me when I try to do bed linens and cleaning the white tile floor in the bathroom...Imagine the tire tread marks... Thanks for the suggestions though;)
NOT!
Good day all.
.
Oh thank you Margie;)

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Happy, thank you, I thought it was also beautiful, I cried if I may say so. I made the mistake of reading out loud to my children (all above the age of 19) lol...made it worse I think cos' I could envison everything it was saying and apply it to myself. *sigh*

here ya go, hope this helps dear

LOL=laugh out loud
rofl= roll on the floor laughing
IMHO= in my humble opinion
roflmbo=roll on the floor laughin' my butt off (use with descretion to whom you use this one hehehe)

HMD=Happy Mother's Day

I can't think of any others at the moment. lol...Hey you guys hope you're havin' a great day, cos' I am and I feel a nap comin' on lol...belly full and ready for some rest...hey! It's Mother's day!! I can't feel guilty for doing absolutely nothing today....not even clothes that I put off last week lol...

Hi Julie,

HMD. Thanks for all the info. I always though LOL meant lots of luck so now things are clearer. I'm only here one week today! Got another version of ROTFLMAO - very similar to yours and they kindly explained it to me because I would never have known!

Enjoy the day of leisure or what's left of it. Elvis is on tonight - I knew he wasn't really dead after all!

Arlene
