Joan how wonderful to be surrounded by such natural beauty! Ü

They're beautiful Joan. I don't think I've ever seen white trilliums in those kind of concentrations anywhere around here.

No, As Sandy says we don't have natural clumps of size here. And to think I was just congratulating myself on the fact that my two had become 6 after about 4 years! How pretty yours are. Thanks.

There is a wood on the way out of Uxbridge Ont, where trilliums are like that too. Really thick on the ground. I used to love Wednesdays when we left school early, so that I had time to go look at them.

Then
In , a few weeks, the wonderful yellow shooting stars everywhere. (can't think of their real name).

Have had, after two days digging untold numbers of sib. iris from very sticky manitoba gumbo, fighting huge dandilion (sp?) tree roots and quack grass.

In the pouring rain too. A really miz. weekend. -weatherwise.

Now to trench and heel them in for a couple of weeks, till I decide where to put them.

Inanda - not really hijacking Joan.

I am very lucky to have ready access to this area. Only discovered it last year. You can be sure that I will visit this woodland area many times over the coming summer.
