Well .... I hate to say this but I live in a coccoon so I'm still in the dark even after reading the thread. Intentionally I am surrounded by things I love: husband "my gang of critters" and my plants. There is no TV, radio is only on at times and I go to the big city, population,about 30,000 maybe every two weeks or so.
So just tell me what "paula needs everyone support." means and I'll do my best.

I am an American Idol nut. I don't miss an episode and haven't since the show first aired 4 years ago.
For me to actually beleive that "THE" Paula Abdul is a member here I will have to hear her mention it on the air during one of the shows. Say like this coming up week!! If she is a member here she needs to give us a shout out!!
I personally don't beleive the allegations against her by the former idol contestant and feel that he is only out to ruin her reputation and push sales of his book and cd (just my opinion)!!
I was really disappointed when Nadia left the show,she was my favorite up until she was voted off. I am now rooting for Vonzell.
OK so I had to ask around but now I'm up to speed, but I really have to agree with catsmeow in being doubtful that she is a DG member.
Regardless, prayers being said for Paula and her troubles. Maybe the whole thing can be turned around and used as positive publicity!!!

David & Judy....SKIRTZ really is Paula! There is no way for me to prove it to you, but believe me....she really is. I have many pics of Paula that Bambi has sent.....but they all have a copyright from Back2Back. I'll attach the only pic that doesn't have a copyright.

To everyone else: I think that post was from Bambi, on Paula's name, as she hasn't re-subscribed yet, and I think they are traveling together. She sent me an email earlier from Paula's email account, and does that when they are traveling. She's sent me pics too. Even one with Elton John.
She is going to be on Saturday Night Live tonight. Be sure to catch it if you can.
I believe the poster is Ally! Ally is an intern for Bambi & Paula. She'll be back on later.
I've been pretty down & depressed all week with everything that's going on with Paula. What a shame that someone would deliberately try to do something like this. I'm behind Paula all the way!!! I'm sure it will all be ok soon.....I just hate all the bad publicity for her.
Yes - that "ally" thing on the Subject kind of confused me. Bambi had told me one her assistant's name was Ally. And I was wondering why the subject was "remember Ally"?????? It kind of made me wonder if Paula's nickname might be Ally. But then - why would Paula be her assistant? Maybe whoever it was will come back in and de-confuse me. (like that is ever possible).
And YES - I hope they get this cleared up and that everything goes back to normal for them soon. What outrageous allegations.

Hello everyone & thanks for the voices of support. Paula & Bambi are coming back from NY today & I'm going to print up all the kind words with a big brug picture! Oh and yes I'm Ally, Paula & Bambi's assistant. Thanks again. I wonder why when I fix my spelling my post says edit.
I will have to admit that when I read some of the story last year, I though you were fans of Paula's, I never dreamed that Paula was 'here'. I watch the show and my 5 girlie grands and I post about about the show, we love it. We think Vonzell is a talented knockout, she has a beautiful smile and we love Beau too!!! I've also heard about the allegations - I smell a book deal, with a personal publicity stunt attached. I'd love to see a photo of all three of you with some brugs...BTW, does Simon ever have a good day, lol!!!!!!!

I just had a great phone call! Bambi just called to wish me a 'Happy Mother's Day'! What a great surprise! Bambi and Paula are such sweet girls! They've just arrived back at Malibu from NSL.
That is just great, Brinda. I miss Bambi around here. Tell her hi next time you talk to her from me. I know Paula is a member here. I hope this all blows over for them.
Did any of you see SNL last night? I thought how they handled it was very classy and well thought out. And the folks from SNL showed their support in their humorous "exaggerative" way. I enjoyed the entire show and then went to bed.

Missed Saturday Night Live last night. The only TV program that I'm addicted to is American Idol. I'm always amazed at how she always stays so nice, positive and supportive of the contestants who are putting it all on the line and then have to stand there and be judged. I think it's a shame that a young man who already lied to the AI producers is being taken seriously by anyone. Greed has brought out the worst in him. I hope he'll realize it soon and recant. I smell something and it's not the sweet smell of brugmansia on a warm May night.

The brug forum is notorious for offering support when posting members are down or going through a hard time.
I did a search on dg and found that there have only been 4 threads started in almost a year. Could be a case of out of site, out of mind? I know for myself, when i heard the newsbreak, i never connected the story with her being a dg member. My first thought was "You go girl"....not the same response most have had, but that was my first thought. And still didnt make the connection until this posting.
I'm still not so sure that there is all honesty being displayed, either. I found it odd, in one of the posts, "she" was listing the brugs that she would die to have, heck most of us would....most people starting out on brugs are still impressed with candida double white and whiskers. her list was
: Here's my list so far: Cerise Wonder, Forever Morr, Fantango, Full Rosea Magic, Inca Queen, L'Amour, Luminosa, Pefektion, Pink Vista, Rubirosa, Super Spot.
I couldnt help but think there was some deception going on, hoping that someone would send these super hot brugs to her.
I could be totally wrong, gosh knows i have been before, but to me it just doesnt add up.
A celebrity joins daves 2 days later is posting a list of wanted brugs, dont hear from them for almost an entire year, and suddenly when a story breaks, were expected to off sympathy for someone that obviously most of us have forgotten about.
If anything i would think that we should be thanked for not gossiping about it when it did break, ya know?
Thanks to Brinda... I'm back (she renewed my membership to Dave's today) & can repond to MSJen. I bought Paula a membership in Dave's as well as "The Brug Book". Both of us were new to brugs at the time of our joining & neither of us had any idea how difficult it would be to locate some of the incredible specimens we saw. I haven't been around for quite some time since thing have been a bit crazy living in Malibu surrounded by sand. There's not too much room to garden here. This thread was started by our sometimes "over anxious" adorable assistant, Ally & I don't think she did so in an attempt to ellicit sympathy for Paula. Having said that, it's great to come back & say hi to Kell & Brin.

I think Ally did a good thing posting. I'm sure she is trying to do anything to help Paula in everyway.
There's a difference between sympathy and support. And asking for support is not out of line.
When I first saw that one site with a photo gallery of brugs, I thought the same thing as Paula. I wanted the "hardest to find" not knowing they were hard to find. I am, however, very happy with the collection I am growing this year. I even have doubles. Very nice and sharing people at Daves.
