Crested Cereus variabilis
Cereus fernambucensis f. monstrose cristate
Added to my collection 1 year ago as a graft. The root stock has since died and this top part is now using it's own roots.
Crested Cereus variabilis (Cereus fernambucensis f. monstrose cristate)
I have 2 of these, I really like it! I keep it in the shade, do you? Annie
Only during the hottest summer months (May, June July & Part of August) it gets 50% shade from 11am till 5pm, but the sun here may be a bit more harsh than it is there. (maybe).
Most likely. The instructions on the care mention to keep in shaded, low light. water when dry, so that's what I'm doing here, but if yours is doing so well, it makes me wonder if I should worry about it!
Are you positive it's the same species as this one?
I have other species that are crested that require more shade than this one.

I'll go check on Monday, it's raining here right now, and dark out there, Annie
Beautiful plant!
Thanks
