Pink Beauty....what to expect?

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

Hi folks....just acquired a nice B. 'Pink Beauty' plant and don't know much about it.

I searched the forum, but most references were from 2002?

Anyone have this one, and advice on what to expect?

Easy to grow and bloom?
Does it stay compact or grow tall?
Cool or warm?
Sun or shade?
Etc....

TIA for any advice and/or input!

Nan, Mine gets very large. She is easy to grow. Florida is where she lives and spends winter in ground. Dies back and comes back every year. She gets some shade and some sun. She also is a good bloomer and would do better if I over wintered her. One of my favorites.

Pink Beauty doesnt get discussed as much as she used to because newer brugs are often talked about. She is still a keeper though.

I have a three PB's from a cutting I received from Delisa, and I love them! The one plant I had last year got to be about 6' tall and bloomed all summer, and was still in bloom when the first frost on December 1st got her. I tookk cuttings, but the one in the ground is coming back from the roots and is about a foot tall today. You will love this brug!

Here is mine in full bloom a week ago, while I was on a trip.
My neighbor who was watering for me was kind enough to take a photo for me.
They were just about all finished blooming when I got home....
A lovely photo to enjoy though!

Great pictures, you guys! Doc, that chair and deck looks like a little slice of heaven. Give me an iced tea, and I'd lie there all day.

Nan, mine as been in the ground about two years now, and it is about twelve feet tall. We don't get frost here. I've cut mine back a few times.

It is in full sun and needs lots of water. Once, when it didn't get enough water, it dropped about a hundred flower buds at once and wilted something terrible, but it came back once it had a good drink of water.

Here is a night shot:

Pink Beauty is wonderful and is not a bug magnet and blooms her heart out. My PB lives next door to Rosamond and they compete for tallest and most blooms. If I started over in brugs, PB would be my first selection, closely followed by Rosamond. I will try to find my photos later today...good luck with yours!!!

Pink Beauty is a great bloomer and can get pretty tall, so it's fun to look up inside her blooms to get another view of the beauty of her blooms.
