Those were a steal at $9.99... Some others yes but that one no...I think it might be Maya...

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

What a deal. Snowbank?

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Looks like it, Kell. Mine had a tag exactly like that.

Wichita, KS

Yep, that is what the tag says "Snowbank" from Terra Nova Nurseries - www.terranovanurseries.com.
The tag has it listed as a perennial, but I don't think I can leave it outside for the winters here. It gets too cold.

Tag says, huge, fragrant yellow to white to peach-colored trumpet flowers.

I really think I got a good deal on it. It had came in earlier in the day and the shipment wasn't tagged.
The people on shift didn't know anything about pricing and they charged me for what their perennial 1 gallon pots go for since it said perennial on the tag.
I have been meaning to go back and see if there is anymore left and see what the price is now.

I bought it Thursday, 4/28.

I called the Terra Nova Nursury and spoke to a gentleman who gave me information on what stores he sold the Brugmansia 'Snowbank' to because they are a wholesale company,,,

http://www.terranovanurseries.com/pages/plantsB1.html#brusb

...and he told me that he sold to a store there in Leroy, KS., named Arnold's Greenhouses, Inc. www.arnoldsgreenhouse.com. They, in fact sell this Brugmansia 'Snowbank' at this location for a cheap $12.99. Here is their phone for those of you who can get to it. The lady said that her store is pretty much a 'Candy store' for plants and I believe her. She has peeps coming from all around to purchase her plants. Tulsa and surrounding states... She has 60+ right now in stock. They are in 1 gal pots. If anyone can get up to Leroy, KS. (zip 66857) AND remember I turned you on to this place LOL...I'll pay ya to fetch me one and mail it!!!! lol...I didn't stop there though cos' I know there are other's that may not know that they actually have this rare Brug in their area....

I called another place he sold this 'Snowbank Brugmansia' to thats located in Beaverton, OR. named Farmington Gardens...Phone no. 503-649-4568...Price $19.99 for a 3 gal. So if you're in the market and can get to them..you're in luck ;-)

There's a place in Michigan named Vandenberg Bulb Co. @ 360-424-6144 but I couldn't reach them, they were all tied up. I hope I hooked someone up!

A place in GA that sells them are 'Full Bloom' @ 770-842-2345 and the owner is Kelly. The brug is 36 inch. in a 3 gal. pot. She sells them for $20.00 each. She is checking on Freight and will call Monday to take an order by phone. So Georgians....getcha some!!!! hehehe

I just thought of something that maybe someone can help me to remember....wasn't it somewhere where no one could buy the 'Snowbank'????? I could have sworn that was what I read somewhere and I can't remember where???? Anyone?

Julie

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Julie...I did read that about Miners Claim...but not snowbank. Did someone else see it?

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

This was like last year I believe...some of the older members (not in age lol) but subscriber's would know the answer. I remember also hearing that about Miners Claim too.

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Well.......
I got to go to Clermont, GA today (early this a.m.) to a nursery that Terra Nova of CA. referred me to saying they sold to this nursery the 'Snowbank' also. And boy was he not kidding...I was shocked at how many they had! Of course I got only one, but it had 3 shoots off the sides about as tall as the main trunk (36 inches in height) and 3 little white albino pups attached onto the base of the dirt and trunk. I just had to show you these. They are not maya's lol...they are 'Snowbank' but I got a 3 gal. for $19.00. Drove 260 mi. back and forth, so it's been a very long day.

Here's the whole bunch of them...

Here's proof of the cost, which I was wrong...I thought it was $19.00 but it was $18.00 lol wooo hooo I saved a buck. Guess we lucked up... :-)))

Now I must go educate myself on the albino pups. I do know that they can't be removed from the main trunk (mother plant) or they'll die because they can't survive without her but what I want to know is what does this albino pup do other than just grow there on the side? Does it produce flowers? Just things like this I need to know. I've never had one of these and got alot to learn and feel so blessed.

Good girl! I'm very happy for you....they look great, especially the girl with Whitey!

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

lol you are so adorable....I hope I helped someone locate one but one thing for sure, I helped myself find one lol! It was a nice drive in the country and I needed it. The 'Full Bloom' Nursery in Clermont, GA was off of Hwy 283 on lula road, so it wasn't too hard to find but a nice drive. She has alot of nice thing.

I wish one was closer to you dear...maybe Michigan??
