Soapwort

I bought some soapwort-double pink. I had read where you can use the leaves to wash your hands with. I tried a few leaves but they don't lather up or anything. I'm wondering if they need to get bigger or is it because this was a special flowering strain that they developed at Mulberrycreek? Anybody else growing soapwort?

I have the pink flowering kind, haven't tried this particular plant for lathering yet, it's new, but I've tried another last year, which I lost by the way LOL. it did lather, I'd give it some time. they don't lather realy well like soap either, just a tad.

Thanks. Maybe it was the particular leaf I picked off. It was a smaller leaf.
