The Brugs are out!

Clinton, CT(Zone 6b)

I'm biting the bullet and putting my Brugs out for the season...

These three will grow here in our stone watering trough. They should look great when they mature a bit.

This darn weather is killing me. It has been cold and rainy for the last two weekends - keeping me from getting out and planting and now they say this weekend will be a total washout with a "noreaster" bringing monsoon-like rain all weekend. Drat!

Good luck with the weather Diane. Your planter is Striking I sure do love that stone trough. Your brugs look great and should really fill in nicely. Gee there will be no worry of them tipping over once they get 8' tall this summer. :-)

Diane, they look great. Hope you don't get a frost or freeze.

Thanks Kin - they are planted in 5gal nursery pots - last year they got about 6ft high in those pots tops..I'm anxious to see them all blooming in the trough - should be real pretty.

Ada - a frost could still happen - we were under a frost advisory last night - so I went out at 8:00pm and dragged everything into the barn. That's the good part of growing everything in containers - its drag and go when a frost threatens. Had to get up a half hour early this morning to drag them all back out before going to work... sigh..

Diane, I've drug all of mine in and out three times so far. We had a freeze on our last predicted frost date.

Well I must say that you have a beautiful garden and just love all the stone work. That trough is my favorite so far. I will be excited to see it this summer in all it's glory. I hope you don't get any more frost,,, Fingers crossed here

We have weird weather here too. We are getting rain, this is getting late for rain. This really is extending our winter weather. They say even this weekend there may be rain.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

We're getting rain also, Kell and it's almost cold outside.

Diane they look so healthy! I'm hoping to bring mine out of the basement at least and out to the greenhouse. I hope mine get as healthy looking as yours. This winter was my first time overwintering in the basement.
