I have several small brugs I'd like to get rid of. I'm tired of overwintering them in the house. These are all well rooted, about a year old. But they are small, maybe 6 or 8 inches. Of course they grow fast. Some are healthier than others. It's a miracle they have survived my neglect. Tough little buggers! They're in need of a good loving home
I'm an avid daylily and hosta collector and will only trade these for named daylilies and hostas. In daylilies, I'm looking for something exceptionally beautiful--no Stella d'oro, Happy Returns, Autumn Red, etc. I love spider daylilies, eyed and haloed daylilies, bicolors, something with an unusual color. I have plenty of yellows and oranges and would like other colors. I don't have nearly enough pink, altho I do have Catherine Woodbury. I'd like more pink, purple, something nearly black, etc.
In hostas, I'd love some of the piecrust hostas, unique variegated hostas, hostas with huge leaves (for hypertufa crafts), chartreuse leaves, or something exceptionally showy. I want a hosta that demands, "Hey you, look at ME!" I also like the little edger hostas and I have golden tiarra, emerald tiarra, blue edger, etc. I would love to acquire a Baby Bunting. My road is Bunting Drive. LOL
I have several brugs (6 or so). So if you have several daylilies and/or hostas and want all the brugs, show me a list of what you have and maybe we can just work one trade for the whole kit and kaboodle. I also still have lots of named cannas available. I can show pictures and details for them if you're interested.
If you don't know the name of your daylily, but you consider it exceptional, show me a picture of it and I might consider it.
Thank you all for the numerous wonderful trades you've done with me this season. I have encountered some of the best traders ever! You guys are so generous and chatty and I'm enjoying myself here. I hope I haven't disappointed anyone.

Brugs and Cannas for Named Daylilies and Hostas
I have hosta baby bunting and some daylilies I'd part with for the right cannas. Do you have any with variegated foliage?
Hi Cheryl,
Yes, I have some with variegated foliage: Pretoria (Bengal Tiger) and Striped Beauty (Christ's Light). I also have several with burgundy foliage, like Red Wine, Red Futurity, Wyoming. I have some with beautiful blooms too. You can check them out at my Ebay store, where you'll find pics and descriptions. Here's a link:

Maybe you'll see some you like. If so, let me know which daylilies you have and we'll go from there.
NancyAnn
Please do name your favorite daylilies. We have so many purples, Chicago Knobby, Prairie Blue Eyes, and dark ones like Spirit of Freedom and the slow growing Midnight Magic.
NancyAnn, I sent a list to you of the hosta and daylilies that I can think of (without double-checking - I'm at work).
Hi Pirl,
Honestly, I don't know which daylilies I'm looking for til someone throws out a name and I look it up. I do have Prairie Blue Eyes I know, as well as Little Grapette (from a recent trade).
I have about 150 or so named daylilies. So chances are, if you name some, I probably don't have most of them. Most of mine are red, yellow and orange. If you'll name a few, I can look them up and see if I like them.
Cheryl, let me look over the list you sent me. I see several already that I'd like to have, so girl, start picking out some cannas. You said you could go wild, so do it. I think I'm going to have fun shopping from your list too.
NancyAnn
Hi Nancy - you have my favorite name in the whole world!
I'm mostly into pinks and yellows with some magentas, dark ones and peach. For the last five years I've been buying and hybridizing for eyes and edges. They mix nicely with the solids.
In purples I have: Chicago Knobby, the lavender Catherine Woodbery, the purple spider Fellow (not too much), Fuchsia Dreams (more fuchsia than purple), Panchen Lama (big, Tet, lavender), Pandora's Box (cream with purple eye) - tons of that one, multiplies fast, Patrician Heritage (Pale lavender but big, tet), Royal Fanfare (not much of it to trade - please look it up as it's a mix and people either love it or hate it) same with Scaramouche, Silver Potentate (can looked blotchy for the first few blooms and is lavender), Unique Purple (purple and darker purple - I have it planted with Pandora's Box: good match!), Well of Souls (Peach with large purple eyezone).
I'm swamped with work and plants arriving so don't rush on this just yet. If it's just one or two you want I probably can do it.
I have an unnamed yellow brug. I'd like pink, purple (if there is such a thing), not white.
Arlene
Hi Pirl,
I must have forgotten to mention, I don't know what colors any of my brugs are. I had labels with them all at one time and they all faded or got pulled up by critters. So there's no telling what I have out there, if colors matter to you. I do have lots of named cannas if you'd like to try some of those. Or if you'd like to take a chance on the brugs, that's ok too.
NancyAnn
Nancy,
I like surprises but tell me there are no peaches, please. Mine is a washed out yellow/peach and I really am not fond of it.
Arlene
Arlene, I honestly don't know what colors there are. At one time, I had white, yellow, pink, peach, and I don't remember what else. None of them have labels anymore. And I've never seen them bloom. So I can't even fathom a guess.
N.
BC - do you have any interest in any of the daylilies I mentioned?
I haven't had a chance to look them up yet, Arlene. I'm fairly new to daylilies and don't recognize names yet. So I have to google them and see if they fit my scheme. I'm sure I can find a few from your list that I'd like. But I don't know that I can give you what you'd like since I don't have a clue as to the colors of the brugs.
N.
I remember when I was new to daylilies. Tetraploids are stronger, double the chromosomes of Diploids, which are generally cheaper. Tets, as they're called, stand up much better to high winds. Tets colors are, in general but not always, stronger and more vibrant.
Height is important. Tiny flowers on tall plants look odd to me. If a plant is low then the small flowers are fine. A 25" plant looks nice with a 5" flower (to me).
What is your scheme for the garden where you'll use the dayliles?
I have one big garden with just purchased daylilies (called Hems) and then we have more than 1300 of the ones I hybridized. Please let me know if I can help.
Arlene
Interested in Hostas.....

Gumila
I've never mailed anything to Pakistan. Are there restrictions? Do I need some kind of permit?
I will ask at the Post Office, too, in case you're busy.
Arlene (pirl)
Butterflychaser if you are still interested I have some canna bulbs 'Robert Kemp' supposed to be a favorite for hummingbirds. I have a baggie with 3 tubers in it. I don't want anything...just would like to get these canna's to a happy home for postage? LMK
Lisa
Hi Lisa, thanks for your offer, but I have lots of Robert Kemp myself. It's one of my favorite cannas. It reminds me of a tiki torch. I have a clump on each side of my driveway to "light my way home". LOL
That's great! I wasn't sure what to expect seeing them from pictures....since this is the first time I've had them in my garden. So now I know what to expect...thanks!
No need of any certificate and permits, just enclose in Padded envelope or priority mail box and past custom sticker and send to me. Very easy no restrictions. Flowerjunkie, Kim and many more members sent me plants with out any problem.
Thanks
Kaleem
