Night Blooming Jasmine blooming like crazy!

Portland, OR(Zone 8b)

This great plant (Cestrum nocturnum) blooms every 3 months like clockwork. I keep it right in front of my south-facing window and a few days ago, I noticed it was loaded with blooms. Tonight I started counting the open blooms but stopped after I reached 50 and noticed another branch with more blooms. Smells so wonderful. I've taken 4 cuttings off of the same plant and they all rooted.

One branch decided to reach for the sky, or ceiling in my case.

Mine are blooming now too, they smell so good at night.

This is one of my favorite plants. Mine is going to bust open any time. It looks like yours.

I love it.

Are these considered easy to take cuttings from? Outside of a successful cutting from a Zebra Plant (Aphelandra squarrosa) plant, and that took 2 months to root, this is the only plant I've taken cuttings from. 4 out of 5 are new plants putting out new growth in soil.

I stuck one in a pot of dirt and just figured it would die. I had to cut it back to cover for winter. Needless to say it rooted. I took it from the hard wood part not the green stem.

All of my cuttings have been taken from the green stems.

Great now I know I can cut there too.
Thanks,

I do green or semi ripe cuttings and most root.

I had been living in this house for a few months when one night my bedroom was filled with this sweet odor. It was as strong as if someone had broken a bottle of perfume.

The next morning I went out and looked for the source. there was a large green bush growing just outside the window but it had no blossoms or scent. This happened again the next night. I finally discovered the greenish, white blossoms that had a scent only at night.

The plant has since been moved farther from the bedroom window. Now the scent is pleasant when a breeze wafts it around.

George, I made the mistake of planting one right outside my bedroom window! It has since been moved.

I also have a smaller one that is also blooming and only has 7 open flowers. I decided to bring it upstairs and put it by the bed. A few minutes later I moved to other side of the room so it wasn't so strong.

I may be getting this plant in a trade in a few weeks. Any special care? Any bug problems? Favorite food? Watering?
Thanks for all the help.

Full sun, moist soil, feeding every two weeks and pruning after flowering. I baby mine a lot though to encourage blooming though and have it sitting in front of a southern window. If your trade falls through, let me know as I have some small cuttings that are putting on new growth nicely.

Thanks Emily!
