Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

I went out and helped Stan finish putting cows in. The first batch is usually easy, let 'em wander in and tie them up where they land. It's the hangers back that cause the problems, although as this was the first time this year, it went very well. I guess Stan figured it was just time to get them out, despite the weather. It has been cloudy and chill all day, with a very small flurry at lunch time.

I spent some time this morning out pruing roses. The two big ones that I did are antiques - Russleiana and FJ Grootendorst - and didn't get any attention last year, so there was a lot of dead wood to whack and the middles to clear out. I was able to do this because the nitrile dipped gloves that I ordered from TASCO came yesterday. Never go up against an antique rose with anything less than armor! Both bushes look quite presentable now, only a couple hundred to go!

I guess I'll go take my shirts off the line and hang them up in here. There's no way they are going to get dry today, and who knows what will transpire with the weather overnight!
