Hooray! Bulbmeister is back!

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

Just got the bulbs I ordered in February, with an apology for the lack of communication in recent months. He and his family had to undertake a difficult move to a new facility and had litle free time for correspondence.

The bulbs look great, and only 1 of the 16 varieties I ordered was unavailable.

Tabasco, Bulbmeister is a company (but reportedly a one-man show, which is why I used the pronoun "he") . Check Garden Watchdog. An extensive assortment of high-quality bulbs at low prices. There was some anxiety about the nursery when the Website suddenly sported a "temporarily closed" notice. I had placed a large order in February and never heard anything about it again, even though I sent several e-mails to inquire whether the "temporarily closed" status extended to previously placed orders. I never received a response to any of the e-mails, but I did receive my order this week. The bulbs are bigger and healthier than the ones I've received this year from six or seven other suppliers. Hence the hooray. This is not a supplier any customer wants to lose.

Yes, Kelly was digging up his personal collections of bulbs from the field, etc for a move to a new facility. I believed that he mailed everyone on his mailing list about what was going on. I thought there was even something on the website that explained it. The site was temporarily down as they moved to a new ISP also. It's very unusual for him to have not responded to email (perhaps that was during the ISP move and he never received them)?
