Holly is Home!

Northport, ME(Zone 5b)

We were able to pick Hollycakes up yesterday. She's still a bit woosy, but alert, happy and eating well....now for the hard part; keeping her quiet. She is presently in her downstairs crate, where she will stay when I'm home from work. Frank is the last to leave the house in the am, and after her potty break (on lead,of course), he puts her back in the upstairs crate in our bedroom. When I arrive home from work at about 10am, I let Paisley, Demi, and Bosco out in their yard, get Holly and take her out the barn into our 'back 40' so she can take care of business. Then, I gotta feed everyone their breakfast; Holly gets hers in her crate...then the entire routine is repeated for outside. I'm still not going to leave the house for the first week she's home; she does not like being alone and cries for company when she's crated. I'm also concerned that if she gets too emotionally upset there will be major trouble...limiting physical activity is one thing, but she's an intelligent creature, and I know she's going to get bored in short order. For now, she is being really good, an angel, but I'm leery of any excitment that will get our other three kids barking and running around. Any suggestions?? Les and Frankay
