I have expanded my rose bed and would like to buy 3-4 OGR bushes in yellow, to go next to my pink nearly wild rose. I keep waiting and waiting for yellow knockout to come out, but I guess it's not happening. Your suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

vossner, I went to the Antique Rose Emporium's website, then to the reference chart, and sorted it by color. Yellow roses are all at the bottom of the chart, you can click on the name of a rose to see a picture. Of course, I always love to go there, but if you don't have time to go to Brenham, you can always check your local nurseries to see if they have the one/s your looking for. I go to Arbor Gate in Tomball a lot. I know there is also an antique garden place in Needville. Don't know if those are any better for you. Anyway, you can at least "let your fingers do the walking" (oh my, have I just dated myself?)
yes Needville Vintage Rosery is about 20-25 minute drive from my house. It is a very good place. they have copied the brenham place in that all roses are the same price $16.95. Husband/wife team. house and rosery in the same property. all kind of garden beds to give you ideas on how to use roses

speaking of other stuff, since you live in Conroe and I guess she's in Spring, have you ever been to ButterflysbyRobin? She sells on ebay but I think she sees people by appt. I would LOVE to go but now that gas is $2+ it's hard to justify going there, just to gallivant. Though I know I would drop quite a bit of money on her plants. she has really really net stuff.

just seen her stuff on ebay. there's quite a few DGrs that have mail ordered from her. I want to go, but it's too far for me. I keep thinking I need to combine errands that take to that part of houston but it never works out.
