Curcuma aurantiaca
Ohhh, I just got three Curcuma 'Thai Supreme'. My husband bought them for me. It's the first time he ever bought a plant for me and we'll be married 7 years on Sunday. :) I told them that they'd need special treatment here come this fall as they aren't hardy in our zone. But gracious will they be worth it.
They're expensive little things, though. VanDyck's has them for 3 for $19.95 plus shipping. Here's a pic:

Do you already have some of these in your gardens?
I have some that died back last fall and I'm waiting to see if they come back or not. So far, they haven't. I'll probably check to roots/rhizomes to see of there's any activity.
budgielover, my curcumas are just now finally coming back..
i'd give them a little more time before poking around...

I did stick one finger down in one of the pots and the rhizome is still solid so I'll leave it. I was afraid it may have rotted during the winter.
