I do hope you are feeling better Elaine. Don't rush if you aren't up to yet. There is no hurry. Better that you get your health back. Those coughs can be such a pain when they hang on for so long. Take care. :Donna

Hi Elaine,

I received the Madam this morning in the mail. Thank you so much. You did a wonderful job of wrapping up the cutting. It arrived in wonderful condition. I have her resting comfortably in a small water filled vase. I have never rooted a Rose cutting before. Have you any helpful hints to assure I have success? Thanks again, Elaine. :Donna

Yup..you bet! Take the cuttings and at the bottom of them you should see a node where a leaf once was. It is from there, once you dip the stem into a rooting hormone powder. Then take a four inch pot and fill it with one part washed sand and three parts steriilized soil; wet the soil medium, let drain out;Poke holes for the cuttings, making sure the leaf node is covered by the soil; take all three stem cuttings and place them in the medium. Do not water again, after inserted***; place a large zip lock back over the pot(like a tent or mini greenhouse)........a chopstick is great for holding upthe bag. be careful not to disturb cuttings; then place whole thing, not outside but somewhere on a lighted window sill or, even better, if you are able to obtain some, only some,....bottom heat! when the soil has maybe dried up a bit, water with lukewarm H2O again, and, in about 4-5 wks, you may gently pull on the cuttings.........that means they've rooted. That's enough info for now! good luck! E...I just thought of something. place the moss that came with Mdme, around the base of the stems, after planting
