How long has yours been planted?
It sure is pretty.

Hi Sidney,

On our property only since last fall. It is much darker now - dark green and slight burgundy. I wanted an established weeping maple and this is what I came home with! Well, had delivered. I was just certain we had killed it after it was planted but obviously not!

Where did you get yours? How big is it now?

You should post a picture.

Kim, I got it and a Crimson Queen at Lowes in Charlotte, NC when they went on for half price. It is staked about 3' out of a 3 gallon pot. It hairpins over for another 2 & 1/2'. I will post a picture when I get it planted. I am putting them about 12' apart out front under a row of 75 yr old Live Oaks. I am mainly worried about frying them, but I'm in zone 9a at the warmest. Glad they like acid which those tough leaves break down to.
Here is a thread about this new garden. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/520620/
My canvas is ready and my plants are my paint.
