Whats taking so long?

I took cuttings of a Red tropical 2 months ago, they are alive and well but just not growing. Each of them has one or two little leaves, but that is it. They are 6 inch cuttings. All help very much appreciated. Thank you, Joelle

as long as they aren't dead - don't give up on them. Patience.

If they die - well, it happens

But if they are showing signs of life still, just keep the "p" word. Taking root can take time, and certain environments can change that time.

HANG IN THERE. Don't over baby. (I just know from experience from most plants is you don't want to over water - they sog out and die).

Joelle,

I have cutting sitting in water that I took over 5 months ago and they still haven't rooted. They haven't changed on iota that I can see.

When the moon is right again I think I'll be putting them in soil in a plastic bag. Hopefully that addition of humidity around their leaves and a more stable air temp will spurn them on to growth.

Thank you, Karrie and dstartz, I will keep pluging away!
