I have a little screen house my husband built for me that my hoyas are growing in. Can I leave my hoyas in there or should I put them under my oak trees? The hoyas get some sun in the morning and some sun in the late afternoon. It's not as much sun as they would get hanging outside.
Question about my hoyas?
Most of them will be OK in the Screen House. You mean, they get MORE sun under the trees? What if you hung them higher up.
I find that the tender stem/leaf hoyas like lacunosa, H. bella, H. heuschkeliana can do ok with low sun...as long as they have humidity...but they are mostly understory plants.

When I put my hoyas out under the trees they get more filtered sun then they do in my little screen house. That was why I wondered if they would grow better out under the trees. Also does it hurt to move them from place to place, like sometimes in the screen house and sometimes under the trees?

In that case...I would opt for under the trees...they would also get more air movement.
Except for the Eriostemmas which don't like to be moved...most are OK with it. They will tell you if they don't like it.... LOL
Marilyn, I move my Hoyas around all the time. It does not seem to bother them in the least. If they have swolen peduncles and look ready to bloom, I am more careful about changing their location. It takes a little moving around to find the spot they like the best.
I moved my hoyas out yesterday in the morning and had to move them back inside in the afternoon as we were expecting winds of 60 mph and hail. Luckly all that happened was rain. So hopefully my babies won't mind being moved about.
