Hibiscus show in my neck of the woods

The American Hibiscus Soc., Houston Chapter, held a show at our co. extension today. I went to "help out" but, alas, turned into a shopper instead.... Up to today, I had never been to any kind of flower show. Boy, what a way to start with the hibiscus show. I have never seen so many beauties in one single place. Poor husband was happy to be alone in his shop, when I called him to come meet me (and bring my digital camera). Here are some.

this one won like everything. name: Heart's desire. Double, 7" bloom, cream with burgundy eye. It was incredible!
